Аннотация
The cognitive revolution is seen as a significant milestone in the conceptual development of psychology and psychotherapy. The cognitive revolution refers to the idea that human thinking is not merely a by-product of behavior, but rather an independent process that influences behavior. Current models understand human cognition as a complex coordination process based on evolutionarily developed information processing systems and built on various abilities such as memory, affective-motivational evaluations, self-regulation, social cognition, and flexible attention regulation. Cognition is thus a comprehensive term that encompasses all areas of life and experience. For illustrative purposes, current worry models exemplify specific cognitive mechanisms that can influence the worry process.
