Аннотация

Intimate partner violence (IPV) represents a significant but underexamined public health issue among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) populations in Southeast Asia. This scoping review aimed to synthesize existing evidence on the prevalence, correlates, and health-related outcomes of IPV among LGBTQ+ populations in the region. Guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) framework, we systematically searched PubMed, Embase, PsycINFO, Web of Science, MEDLINE, and CINAHL for studies published through June 2025. Studies were included if they (1) examined IPV victimization or perpetration among LGBTQ+ individuals, (2) were conducted in Southeast Asian countries, and (3) reported quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods findings. Twelve studies met the inclusion criteria. The majority focused on gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, with limited attention to lesbian, bisexual women, and transgender or nonbinary populations. Reported IPV prevalence across the recall period ranged widely from 13.6% to 76.4%, with psychological violence being most frequently reported, followed by physical and sexual IPV. IPV victimization was consistently associated with higher rates of depressive symptoms, suicidality, and human immunodeficiency virus-related vulnerabilities such as sexual risk behaviors and lower prevention service utilization. Minority stress factors, including internalized homophobia, sexual orientation concealment, and structural stigma, were consistently linked to a higher likelihood of experiencing IPV. However, substantial heterogeneity in measurement tools, recall periods, and conceptual definitions limited cross-study comparability. No studies evaluated intervention or help-seeking outcomes. Findings underscore the urgent need for culturally adapted IPV measures, inclusive research across diverse LGBTQ+ identities, and multilevel prevention strategies addressing violence, mental health, and sexual health needs.
