Аннотация
Population aging raises important questions about how older adults can remain in their homes and communities with dignity and support. This study examined the relationship between aging in place and quality of life among older adults in Türkiye. A correlational survey was conducted with 378 community-dwelling adults aged 65 and over in Burdur using the Aging in Place Scale (APS) and CASP-19 Quality of Life Scale. Women, rural residents, individuals without chronic disease, and those living with spouses or others reported higher APS scores. Quality of life was also higher among women, married participants, and those without chronic disease. APS and CASP-19 scores showed a moderate positive correlation (ρ = .365, p < .001). Hierarchical regression analysis identified aging in place as a significant predictor of quality of life (B = 0.12, p < .001). Findings highlight the importance of home-based services and age-friendly environments for healthy aging.
