Аннотация
Reports increasingly predict a shortage of infection preventionists. To foster interest in infection prevention, 2 infection prevention departments from different academic healthcare organizations partnered with 2 universities to design and host internships for Master of Public Health (MPH) students. Twenty-six students completed the program, and 8 of them (30.8%) secured infection prevention positions. Here, we describe the internship model and report on the students' career paths following completion of the internship.
