Аннотация
In nursing homes (NHs), infection prevention and control quality assurance and performance improvement activities using structured methodologies are poorly defined. Small tests of change (STOC) are small-scale projects designed to test interventions quickly. This study describes STOCs implemented by 24 NHs participating in a 12-month long collaborative to reduce healthcare-associated infections. With limited external project team support, facilities developed targeted STOCs. Findings highlight how NHs can effectively initiate STOC projects to enhance infection prevention and control outcomes.
