Generic drugs are slow to replace the original molecule in French pharmacies. However, despite a questionable reputation and few contradictory studies, their effectiveness appears to be identical to the original molecules, as demonstrated by studies conducted by the ANSM. Manufacture generic occurs at 85% in European countries despite a high proportion of raw materials from other continents.
