[Yangtze river delta expert consensus on biodegradable nasal packing materials in nasal surgery].

This consensus, developed by experts from the Yangtze River Delta region, systematically elucidates the properties and mechanisms of biodegradable packing materials-including poly（ether ester urethane）, gelatin-based, and hyaluronic acid-based materials-for use in nasal surgery, based on evidence-based medicine. Individualized and rational packing strategies are proposed for diverse clinical scenarios, such as septoplasty, sinus surgery, and naso-skull base surgery. Furthermore, the consensus explores the value of these materials in localized drug delivery and in special populations（e.g., patients with hematologic disorders, elderly patients, and pediatric patients）, with the aim of optimizing clinical pathways and balancing patient benefits with the utilization of healthcare resources.
