Since May 2023, the Caen University Hospital has developed an innovative program for the placement of percutaneous peritoneal dialysis catheters in a dedicated area outside the operating room. This approach is transforming medical and nursing practices, streamlining care delivery times, and empowering teams. Nurses play a central role-both technical and clinical-and are fully involved in ensuring the safety of the patient's care pathway.
