Аннотация
This paper is the result of an investigation into the role played by the researcher within ethnographic methodology in clinical settings. Accordingly, it focuses on reflecting on the following question: what role does the researcher's voice play in describing bodily transformations in clinical spaces involving people with severe COVID? Drawing on Kleinman's notion of moral worlds, Turner's notion of liminality, Levinas's ethics of otherness, and Butler's theory of power, the study seeks to develop an in-depth interpretation of the moral, socio-ethical and political dimensions involved. To achieve this objective, memory is employed as a narrative strategy of the author and the context in order to construct an autoethnography. This approach proposes theoretical categories such as the liminal body, the economy of hope, and the socialization of morality to describe and analyze the clinical context and the transformation of the body during the COVID pandemic.
