Аннотация
Well-differentiated papillary mesothelial tumor is a benign mesothelial tumor that can be found in the peritoneum, pleura, or tunica vaginalis. It is usually an incidental finding during surgery or radiological examinations. Because it is usually a multifocal process, it can be mistaken for metastatic disease, particularly in patients with a history of cancer. We present the case of a 61-year-old female patient with adenocarcinoma of the lower esophagus who had omental nodules identified incidentally during a partial esophagogastrectomy; these nodules were histologically diagnosed as a well-differentiated papillary mesothelial tumor.
