OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to present follow-up on a previously reported case of successful cochlear implantation in a patient with superficial siderosis.
STUDY DESIGN: Retrospective case review.

CONCLUSION: Benefit from cochlear implants in patients with superficial siderosis is variable and may not be long standing.
