Аннотация
Transient Perivascular Inflammation of the Carotid Artery (TIPIC) syndrome is an infrequent and often underdiagnosed etiology of acute unilateral neck pain. Characterized by localized inflammation of the carotid artery and its surrounding tissues, TIPIC syndrome typically presents with tenderness over the carotid bifurcation. The condition is self-limiting and generally responds well to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This report discusses a 24-year-old male with sudden-onset right-sided neck pain, diagnosed with TIPIC syndrome through imaging studies, and effectively managed with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
