Аннотация

A significant role in the development of dental caries is played by a genetic predisposition, especially variations in interleukin (IL) genes that regulate the immune response and tissue permeability. Analysis of literature data confirms a significant association of interleukins (IL6, IL8, IL10, IL17, IL18) and their polymorphic variants (rs1800795/IL-6, rs1800871/IL10, IL1B/rs1143643, IL1RN/rs2234663, IL4/rs8179190) with the risk of caries, periodontitis and their complications (p<0.05). This analysis allowed us to establish the contribution of interleukins to the pathogenesis of caries. However, the contribution of these genes has not been sufficiently studied, which requires further molecular genetic studies.
