Emphasizing the golden window of epithelial-stage intervention, it advocates a comprehensive diagnostic approach integrating medical history, slit-lamp findings, microbiological tests (corneal scraping, special staining/culture), in vivo confocal microscopy, and molecular diagnostics (tear virus antibodies, metagenomic sequencing). The tripartite evidence chain of "history-imaging-pathogen" is proposed to transcend morphology-dependent empiricism, with strict caution against glucocorticoid use before etiological confirmation. Standardized precision diagnosis at the epithelial stage is pivotal for early intervention and visual prognosis improvement.
