Critical Insights on "Psychosocial Outcomes and Aesthetic Expectations in Female Patients Undergoing Body Contouring After GLP-1-Induced Weight Loss: A Prospective Pilot Comparative Study with Post-Bariatric Patients".
Аннотация
The increasing use of GLP-1 receptor agonists for obesity management has led to a growing population of patients seeking body contouring surgery following pharmacologically induced weight loss. Recent evidence comparing psychosocial outcomes and aesthetic expectations between patients with GLP-1-induced and post-bariatric weight loss reported significant improvements in body satisfaction after surgery in both groups. This correspondence discusses important considerations regarding the interpretation of these findings and their implications for patient counselling and outcome assessment.Level of Evidence V The journal asks authors to assign a level of evidence to each article.
