Аннотация
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the most common sleep-related breathing disorder and frequently prompts referral to ENT practices. Following a structured medical history and clinical examination, ambulatory diagnosis is typically performed using cardiorespiratory polygraphy which records key parameters such as the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI), oxygen desaturation index (ODI), and oxygen saturation. Modern devices allow for patient-friendly use and computer-assisted data analysis but still require clinical expertise for accurate review and interpretation of the data. New diagnostic tools such as peripheral arterial tonometry (PAT) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based wearables may play an increasingly important role in the future of OSA diagnostics.
