Emerging role of interaction between m6A and main ncRNAs in pancreatic cancer.
Аннотация
Pancreatic cancer (PC) is a highly lethal malignancy characterized by its rapid progression and poor prognosis. Despite advancements in understanding its pathogenesis, the intricate interplay of various molecular mechanisms remains to be fully elucidated. In recent years, N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification has emerged as a significant RNA chemical modification, garnering considerable attention for its role in regulating RNA metabolism and gene expression. Concurrently, non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), particularly microRNAs (miRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been recognized for their critical roles in the initiation and progression of PC. Although m6A modification and ncRNAs have been extensively studied separately, their reciprocal and coordinated regulation in pancreatic cancer has not been systematically synthesized. This review aims to explore the interactions between m6A modification and major ncRNAs in PC, examining their potential biological significance and implications for clinical applications. By synthesizing current research findings, we seek to underscore the importance of understanding these molecular interactions, which could pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies and improve patient outcomes.
