A Synthetic Dataset for in Silico Studies of Parameters Influencing Changes in Mean Arterial Blood Pressure During Hemodialysis.
Аннотация
Intradialytic hypotension is a major complication of hemodialysis (HD) and is still incompletely understood. Similarly, intradialytic hypertension is also associated with adverse outcomes and increased mortality and also remains not fully elucidated. Here we present and discuss a synthetic dataset (HD-SIM-MAP) with various cases of dialysis-induced changes in mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) simulated using a lumped-parameter model of the cardiovascular system and the whole-body water and solute kinetics in 5,000 virtual patients with randomly adjusted values of 90 physiological parameters. The dataset includes a wide range of intradialytic MAP patterns including both decreases and increases in MAP during HD. The dataset can be used to analyze parameters (or their combinations) affecting the blood pressure response to HD and to investigate mechanisms that may be responsible for hemodynamic instability during HD.Clinical Relevance- Exploration of the presented dataset may help elucidate the mechanisms behind intradialytic hypo- or hypertension.
