Аннотация
PURPOSE/METHODS: I reviewed the motility of two patients who had binocular vertical diplopia after cataract operations with peribulbar anesthesia.
RESULTS/CONCLUSIONS: The binocular diplopia in these patients was a result of inferior rectus muscle overaction in the absence of restriction or weakness of the antagonist muscle. The mechanism could be related to myotoxicity of the anesthetic agents.
