Аннотация
Acquired nasopharyngeal stenosis is a rare condition in pediatric patients. This report describes the case of a 10-year-old girl who developed nasopharyngeal stenosis following cleft palate surgery, presenting with bilateral nasal obstruction, chronic mouth breathing, and snoring. Laryngoscopic and computed tomography examinations revealed fibrous adhesions completely separating the oropharyngeal cavity from the nasopharyngeal cavity. The patient was successfully treated using coblation to ablate the adhesive band, followed by the placement of a nasopharyngeal airway between the soft palate and posterior pharyngeal wall. This case shows that coblation plus short-term nasopharyngeal airway stenting is a safe, effective, and minimally invasive treatment for pediatric acquired nasopharyngeal stenosis.
