Аннотация
Four bdellid genera, Bdella Latreille, Hexabdella van Der Schyff, Theron & Ueckermann, Odontoscirus Thor, and Tetrabdella Hernandes & Feres, are reported for the first time from Saudi Arabia, as are eight species, B. tropica Atyeo, H. maraugia van Der Schyff, Theron & Ueckermann, O. longirostris (Hermann), Spinibdella subrufa Rack, S. tabarii Paktinat-Saeej & Bagheri, S. tadjikistanica Kuznetsov, S. thori (Meyer & Ryke), and T. neotropica Hernandes & Feres. Additionally, Cyta edafosa sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on the female. Furthermore, through a comprehensive analysis of the published literature, species of Cyta von Heyden are categorized into three species groups based on the presence or absence of trichobothrium on the leg tibiae I, IV, and tarsus III. Taxonomic notes on some Cyta species, along with an identification key to known Cyta species, are also provided.
