Аннотация
A simple oxidative N-formylation of primary and secondary amines is reported. The method utilises green solvents, aldehydes as a C1 source, and oxygen in air as the sole oxidant, which provides diverse formamide products under mild conditions, whilst eliminating the requirement for catalysts or other additives.
