Аннотация
Multidisciplinary meetings have almost become mandatory in the delivery of optimum medical care to patients. The premise is that all treatment alternatives can be discussed for the patient under discussion. This means scrutinizing the natural history of the disease and the risks associated with the proposed treatment and encouraging discussion. For complicated type B aortic dissection (TBAD) with evidence of hemorrhage and organ malperfusion, an endovascular approach is usually proposed as significant morbidity or mortality will arise if not performed. For uncomplicated TBAD, the optimum treatment is unknown as many may be treated best conservatively. However, there are a significant number who will benefit in the long term with an endovascular option. This review examines the evidence available for the use of a specific MDT for uncomplicated TBAD.
