Аннотация
We present a case of a 47-year-old male with vitiligo and essential hypertension, who has experienced one month of diffuse neurological symptoms. The neurological examination revealed saccadic eye movements, nystagmus, and ataxia in all extremities, along with positive 65 glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD65) antibodies in serum. This led to the rare diagnosis of cerebellar ataxia due to autoimmune encephalitis (AE) caused by GAD65-antibodies. This case report emphasises the importance of considering rarer variants of AE that may present with subacute progressive cerebellar symptoms.
