In this article, we examine the psychometric properties of a newly developed instrument designed to measure success. The Success Scale was created to provide a practical and efficient tool for large-group administration, with a straightforward structure that is easy to implement across different settings. The scale was evaluated in a sample of 630 participants aged 15 to 84 years (M = 31.12, SD = 14.28). The primary aim of the study was to assess its feasibility, internal consistency, and convergent validity. The results provide preliminary evidence of internal consistency and convergent validity in a Norwegian convenience sample aged 15-84 years, the measurement invariance and test-retest reliability remain to be established. All items showed moderate to strong positive correlations with the total score, ranging from 0.51 to 0.71, while inter-item correlations ranged from 0.22 to 0.74. Internal consistency was excellent, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.92. Convergent validity was supported by significant positive correlations with related constructs. The total score correlated strongly with passion for achievement (r = 0.694, p < .001), and moderately with grit (r = 0.493, p < .001) and growth mindset (r = 0.663, p < .001). Overall, these findings indicate that the Success Scale is a promising instrument, warranting further validation and norm development in larger and more representative samples.
