Аннотация
Cerebral hemorrhage has a high rate of disability and mortality, making timely pre-hospital screening crucial for patient prognosis. While magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography scans are the primary clinical diagnostic tools, their time-consuming, bulky, and costly nature prevents them from meeting the needs for rapid, portable, and non-invasive frontline triage. The primary objective of this study is to develop an ultra-lightweight, frontline screening tool to preliminarily differentiate whether a patient's acute neurological status is driven by a cerebral hemorrhage, thereby empowering clinicians to make faster downstream diagnostic and transfer decisions. To achieve this, this paper proposes a method for detecting cerebral hemorrhage using micro-Tesla eddy-current damping technology. A head model was constructed in COMSOL Multiphysics for finite element simulation, verifying the theoretical feasibility of this detection method under a micro-Tesla magnetic field. Furthermore, a physical model and signal-processing methods were designed to ascertain the feasibility of detecting cerebral hemorrhage under low-magnetic-field conditions. This system can effectively detect cerebral hemorrhage in phantom models, demonstrating moderate sensitivity and spatial localization, and can provide a relatively detailed, semi-quantitative assessment of the severity of bleeding, with the assessment range covering an extended 9-point volume matrix from 1.0 ml to 14.5 ml. Featuring a compact footprint, zero radiation, and low cost, this technology serves as an efficient clinical decision-support tool, showing great potential for pre-hospital hemorrhage screening and fast bedside triaging.
