Antiplatelet therapy with aspirin or clopidogrel is recommended in PAD patients, with clopidogrel showing more significant benefits in symptomatic PAD individuals. Managing several risk factors is crucial for improving outcomes and reducing complications in patients with PAD. Further research is also needed to explore the potential benefits of novel therapies. Ultimately, a comprehensive approach to PAD management is essential for improving morbidity and mortality among patients with this condition.
