[Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Bladder Ultrasound Imaging Devices in Radiation Therapy].
Аннотация
PURPOSE: In radiation therapy for prostate cancer, bladder ultrasound diagnostic devices are utilized. However, the performance of all devices has not been fully evaluated. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of three devices-Lilium IP200 (IP200; Lilium Otsuka, Kanagawa), CubeScan BioCon-900S (900S; JCT, Hiroshima), and BVI 6100 (BVI 6100; Verathon, Bothell, WA, USA)-as tools for measuring bladder volume.
METHODS
The accuracy of each measurement device was verified by comparing the measurements taken with each device during treatment planning computed tomography (CT) with the reference values obtained from the bladder region of interest (ROI) created from the images taken immediately after the CT.
RESULTS
The differences from the reference values were 15.0±47.4 ml for the IP200, -14.7±42.8 ml for the 900S, and -4.2±32.2 ml for the BVI 6100. The Spearman's rank correlation coefficients were 0.78 for the IP200, 0.87 for the 900S, and 0.91 for the BVI 6100, with no significant differences observed between the measurement devices (p<0.05), indicating a strong correlation with the reference values.
CONCLUSION
The IP200, 900S, and BVI 6100 are capable of accurately and conveniently assessing bladder volume in radiation therapy.
