Vascular medicine is facing a steady rise in cardiovascular diseases and an increasing complexity in care pathways. The integration of advanced practice nurses (APNs) provides an organizational and clinical response to these challenges by offering enhanced nursing expertise focused on long-term follow-up, treatment adjustment, prevention, and screening. Recent changes to the regulatory framework now allow patients direct access to APNs within coordinated care teams, paving the way for expanded management of chronic vascular conditions, venous diseases, and cardiovascular risk factors.
