Dermatosurgical rounds: extendable plastic surgery with careful perilesional undermining for high-risk periocular basal cell carcinoma.

A 58-year-old male presented to the dermatology department with a primary complaint of an achromatic exophytic lesion measuring 0.5×2 cm, with irregular borders, located in the right periocular region at the junction of the preseptal lower eyelid and eyelid-cheek aesthetic subunits. The lesion protruded above the surrounding skin and was covered with central ulceration and a hemorrhagic crust.
