Аннотация
This article introduces Professor GAO Xiyan's clinical experience in treating Ménière's disease (MD) with penetrating moxibustion at Baihui (GV20). Based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory, Professor GAO proposed that the core pathogenesis of MD lies in "deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality", with kidney yang deficiency as the root and phlegm-fluid retention ascending as the manifestation. He advocates a treatment principle of "addressing both root and branch, resolving phlegm while tonifying deficiency". In treatment, penetrating moxibustion is applied at Baihui (GV20) with sufficient dosage (43-45 ℃, maintained for more than 40 min). The operation is characterized by "precise acupoint selection, accurate needling location, bilateral moxibustion handling, real-time temperature inquiry and adjustment, sufficient dosage, and deep penetrating sensation". This method achieves the effects of unblocking yang qi and orifices, warming and resolving phlegm-fluid, and tonifying the kidney to replenish marrow.
