Аннотация
Hypopituitarism can cause various psychiatric disorders. We herein report the case of a 60-year-old female with hypopituitarism who presented with severe hyponatremia, impaired consciousness, and delusional disorder. Brain imaging revealed a pituitary macrotumor with hemorrhaging, and the laboratory findings suggested panhypopituitarism. Glucocorticoid replacement therapy improved the hyponatremia, but the delusions persisted. Growth hormone replacement therapy successfully normalized the patient's insulin-like growth factor-1 levels and notably led to the disappearance of delusions. This case highlights the critical role of growth hormone replacement therapy in addressing the psychiatric symptoms associated with growth hormone deficiency.
