The contributions to sonography of the abdomen and retroperitoneum approximately equaled those of the previous years with respect to quantity and quality. CEUS received the greatest amount of attention as evidenced by the increase in the number of studies presented. However, the organizations and convention committees should make a serious effort to improve the scientific program.
