Аннотация

This study is the first that reports the evolving technique and early outcomes of the new robotic stapler for the Single-port (SP) robotic platform for pulmonary robotic resection. We performed a retrospective review of a prospectively maintained database. Consecutive patients undergoing single-port robotic lung resection utilizing a robotic stapler between July 2025 and February 2026.There were fifty patients (30 women), who underwent SP robotic lung resection in which the new SP stapler was used. Median age was 71 years, median height 161.3 cm, and median body mass index of 26.74. The indication for surgery was primary lung malignancy, most commonly, adenocarcinoma. Resections were lobectomy (22), segmentectomy (23) and pulmonary wedge resection (5). Median operative time was 129.5 min, with no conversions or intraoperative complications. R0 resection was achieved in all patients with a median number of 28 lymph nodes and 5 N2 and 3 N1 stations. A median of 9 successful robotic stapler firings per patient was recorded without any complications or misfiring. Median postoperative length of stay was 1 day, and median chest tube duration was 8.53 h. There was no 30- or 90-day mortality. This is the world’s first report of the new SP robotic stapler. It shows that it is safe, easy to use and is effective with no intra- or post-operative complications. These findings support the further use of the single-port platform, which features only one incision made below the chest wall that avoids all intercostal nerves, for robotic pulmonary section.
