Effects of ACTH6-9-Pro-Gly-Pro Peptide on the Morphofunctional State of the Colon Wall under Conditions of Prolonged Stress.

We studied the effects of ACTH6-9-Pro-Gly-Pro on the morphofunctional state of the colon wall under conditions of prolonged stress. It was found that N-terminal analogue of ACTH, ACTH6-9-Pro-Gly-Pro mitigated morphofunctional disorders in the colon wall caused by 28-day restraint stress and accelerated adaptation by reducing the number of inflammatory infiltrate cells and mast cells. The most pronounced changes were observed after treatment with the peptide at a dose of 500 μg/kg.
