MiRNA-211 Dysregulation contributes to the pathogenesis of digestive tract cancers: Mechanistic and clinical implications.
Аннотация
Gastrointestinal tract cancers are a significant cause of mortality, with cancers of the colon, stomach, liver, and pancreas being the most common types of cancer. Early detection is crucial for improving survival rates. Epigenetic modifications, such as microRNA (miRNA) gene silencing, play a crucial role in the development and progression of gastrointestinal cancer. Aberrant miRNA expression may contribute to cancer growth, proliferation, apoptosis, and drug resistance. This study focuses on miRNA-211, a dysregulated miRNA in gastrointestinal cancer that may act as a tumor suppressor or promoter. The research investigates the upstream regulatory elements and target genes of miRNA-211 to reveal its potential as a diagnostic and therapeutic marker for digestive tract malignancies.
