Visual detection of uric acid and antibacterial applications in gout wound healing based on His@Fe-SHMP nanozyme.
Аннотация
Uric acid serves as the ultimate metabolic byproduct of purine catabolism in the human body. Under physiological conditions, its production and elimination maintain a dynamic equilibrium. Elevated serum uric acid concentrations, however, may precipitate conditions such as gouty arthritis, renal impairment, and tophus formation. Consequently, quantifying uric acid levels is essential for diagnosing, managing, and treating various pathological states. This paper reports the synthesis of a white, surface-modified iron-sodium hexametaphosphate nanozyme (His@Fe-SHMP) using histidine as the active component. This nanozyme enables uric acid detection with a high signal-to-noise ratio and low background interference. Furthermore, upon the addition of uric acid and uricase, the material displayed potent antibacterial activity, with inhibition rates of over 99% against both Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This multifunctional nanozyme realizes the synergistic reaction of detection and antibacterial action, enabling precise detection while also facilitating timely intervention for wound conditions and constructing an efficient biological safety barrier.
