Аннотация
Surgery with the aid of a laparoscope has enabled the surgeon to visualize the pelvic viscera and supports with new clarity. This has also enabled procedures normally performed through a laparotomy incision to be performed without a large incision. Generally, this results in a reduction in postoperative pain and a reduced convalescence time. The first reports for bladder neck surgery are encouraging, but longer-term follow up is required before a full appraisal of these new techniques can be made.
