[Mycosis of the tonsil].

OBJECTIVE

To evaluate the early diagnosis ways of the tonsil mycosis.

METHOD: The study was designed to investigate 18 patients with mycosis of tonsil in the PUMC hospital since 1995 year. Direct smear and microscopical examination of secretory material, tissues from tonsil infection were conducted; fungus culture was performed in the fungi positive cases for microscopical identification.

RESULT: The diagnosis of all patients were demonstrated by the pathogeny check at last.

CONCLUSION

The direct smear examination and fungus culture are important methods for early diagnosis to the mycosis of tonsil.
