Аннотация
This paper reports the results of oscillopolarographic assay of earlobe blood in 212 patients examined by fibergastroscopy. Polarographic value above 0.081 was regarded as positive. The positive rate was 96.7% in 30 patients with gastric cancer and 100% in 10 with cancer of cardia and 1 with esophageal cancer. The false positive rate was 14.0% in 171 patients with gastric and duodenal diseases. All 72 healthy persons gave the value of less than 0.081. This method, being convenient and requiring only a small amount blood, is acceptable. It has a high positive rate for stomach cancer, and could be helpful in screening for some malignant tumors.
