Research on the influencing factors and mechanism of community education satisfaction.

INTRODUCTION

Community education is an important vehicle for building a lifelong learning system for all and a learning society. Scientifically evaluating residents' satisfaction and the mechanisms by which it is formed is of great significance for improving the quality of community education services. This study examined the factors influencing community education satisfaction and their underlying mechanisms from the perspectives of individual needs and participation motivation, service quality perception, and sense of community belonging.

METHODS

A questionnaire survey was conducted among 494 community residents in Beijing. Structural equation modeling with 5,000 bootstrap samples was used to test the proposed chain mediation model, with education level specified as the moderator.

RESULTS

Individual needs and participation motivation, service quality perception, and sense of community belonging all had significant positive direct effects on community education satisfaction. Service quality perception and sense of community belonging also played a chain-mediating role between individual needs and participation motivation and community education satisfaction. Education level moderated only the first-stage path from individual needs and participation motivation to service quality perception, whereas the subsequent path remained stable across groups.

DISCUSSION: This study reveals the chain mediation mechanism underlying community education satisfaction and provides a theoretical reference for community education practice.
