[THE CRITERIA OF POPULATION HEALTH ASSESSMENT].

The attempt was undertaken to systematize and to structure concepts related to population health, its components and criteria. It was supposed each level of health is to be assessed by aggregation of unified criteria that are hierarchically linked since health determinants determine health indicators that in turn characterize health resources. Such an approach permits to objectify technology of assessment of health, facilitates data processing and opens up prospects for automated health monitoring at all its levels. It is proposed to use unified medical informational analytical system as source of information for data processing. To reach new level of health assessment serious preparatory work is needed: health indicators are to be reviewed in terms of their informativeness and each one is to be equipped with algorithm of decision-making support adapted to specific tasks (clinical, organizational or managerial ones). Although automation makes it possible to include almost any variable into model, key condition remains preliminary data validation to eliminate unreliable indicators.
