Аннотация
Tuberculosis is a major cause of death worldwide. It affects mainly low- and middle-income countries, but also persists in vulnerable populations in high-income countries. How well tuberculosis treatments work depends on strict adherence, which is compromised by the length of the protocols, the adverse effects of the drugs, and unfavourable psychosocial factors. Therapeutic education aims to strengthen the self-management skills, autonomy, and quality of life of patients with tuberculosis. It applies to both latent tuberculosis infection and active tuberculosis and improves understanding of the disease, treatment adherence, management of comorbidities, and the fight against stigma. This structured, continuous, multidisciplinary, patient-centered strategy is an essential lever for optimizing treatment outcomes and strengthening the fight against tuberculosis.
