Аннотация
Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is a neuroimmunologic demyelinating disorder that may present with central or peripheral sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL). This case describes a 43-year-old female with MOGAD and profound right-sided SNHL who did not improve with neuroimmunologic therapy. Additional immunologic and radiographic workup was unrevealing. The patient underwent right cochlear implantation (CI) without complication and with significant improvement in her speech recognition. Despite the possibility of central SNHL, select patients with MOGAD may benefit from CI, and thus MOGAD should not be considered an absolute contraindication to cochlear implantation.
