Аннотация

OBJECTIVE(S): To examine the effect of resilience training on pregnancy-related anxiety and maternal-fetal attachment among women with unplanned pregnancy.

DESIGN

Quasi-experimental pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group study, reported in line with Transparent Reporting of Evaluations with Nonrandomized Designs (TREND) checklists.

SAMPLE: A total of 164 women were initially conveniencly enrolled; four intervention-group participants discontinued because of incomplete session attendance. The final analysis included 160 women, with 80 in each group.

MEASUREMENTS: Structured interviewing questionnaire, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale-10 (CD-RISC-10), Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Questionnaire-Revised 2 (PRAQ-R2), and Cranley's Maternal-Fetal Attachment Scale (CMFAS).

INTERVENTION: Four group-based resilience training sessions delivered weekly; post-test conducted by phone one month after the intervention. The control group received routine antenatal care. Baseline characteristics were compared using independent t-tests and chi-square tests. Intervention effects were assessed using two-way mixed repeated-measures ANOVA, with effect sizes reported as partial eta squared (η2) and Cramer's V., with statistical significance established at p < 0.05.

RESULTS

Post-intervention, the intervention group had lower pregnancy-related anxiety than controls (18.80 ± 6.79 vs. 40.03 ± 7.06; p < 0.001), higher maternal-fetal attachment (64.97 ± 10.41 vs. 33.98 ± 8.96; p < 0.001), and higher resilience (31.41 ± 5.64 vs. 10.89 ± 4.58; p < 0.001).

CONCLUSIONS

Resilience training significantly reduced pregnancy-related anxiety and improved maternal-fetal attachment and resilience in women with unplanned pregnancy; it should be integrated into antenatal education programs.
