Аннотация

(Objective) Male stress urinary incontinence (SUI) commonly occurs after prostate surgery or pelvic trauma and can significantly impair quality of life (QOL). TOMERE™ is a non-invasive penile compression device developed as a conservative treatment alternative for such patients. This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of TOMERE™ in men with severe SUI. (Materials and methods) We conducted a retrospective review of 18 male patients with severe SUI treated with TOMERE™. Clinical outcomes were assessed by comparing daily pad count, International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Short Form (ICIQ-SF) total scores, and lower urinary tract symptom (LUTS)-related QOL scores at baseline and three months after TOMERE™ initiation. (Results) Mean daily pad count decreased from 6.0 to 3.7 (p = 0.01), and LUTS-related QOL scores improved from 2.6 to 1.6 (p < 0.0001). No significant change was observed in ICIQ-SF scores (p = 0.20). Adverse events were observed in 2 patients (11.1%), including one case of penile edema and one case of superficial fungal dermatitis; both resolved spontaneously without additional treatment. At a median follow-up of 37 months, three patients (16.7%) continued using TOMERE™. (Conclusion) TOMERE™ is a safe, moderately effective non-surgical management option for male patients with severe SUI. Although short-term improvements in pad count and QOL were observed, limited long-term adherence highlights the importance of careful patient selection and counseling.
