Аннотация

Salmonella is an important zoonotic pathogen that is widely distributed in livestock, poultry, and other animals. Salmonella contamination not only affects the healthy development of the livestock industry but also poses a serious threat to public health. Therefore, establishing detection methods capable of simultaneously identifying different Salmonella serotypes is crucial. Among current detection methods for Salmonella, immunological detection methods using MAbs offer high throughput, shorter processing times, and enhanced specificity, making them useful for rapid Salmonella detection. The blocking ELISA (bELISA) method uses serum samples, requiring only centrifugation of the collected blood to obtain serum, without any pretreatment of the samples. It is cost-effective, simple to perform, and allows for the quantitative analysis of antibodies in serum based on the detection results. Utilizing the common antigenic epitopes to establish a bELISA detection method provides advantages for broad-spectrum detection of Salmonella and requires less time, effectively improving the detection efficiency. Here, we describe a bELISA method, which was established for detecting Salmonella antibodies in the serum, based on the identified MAbs that recognize common antigenic epitopes of different serotypes of Salmonella flagellin.
