Аннотация
Cutaneous toxicities are common during cancer therapy and can affect treatment adherence and quality of life but often are underrecognized. Hispanic and Latino patients, many with darker skin tones, may face unique challenges in the presentation, recognition, and long-term effects. In our literature review, reported toxicities included dermatitis, vitiligo, rash, maculopapular exanthema, panniculitis, nail toxicity, and other hypersensitivity reactions. Radiotherapy toxicities were most consistently reported, with rates of moderate to severe dermatitis similar to prior research, but patients with skin of color often experienced more persistent pigmentary changes and long-term symptoms. Immune checkpoint inhibitor toxicities were reported less consistently, and limited representation prevented meaningful assessment of differences by ethnicity. Overall, this review highlights the need for better reporting and more inclusive research on dermatologic toxicities in Hispanic and Latino patients undergoing cancer treatment.
