Keller Funnel Twist-A Simple Implant Propulsion Maneuver.

Breast implant insertion following the 14-point plan recommends the use of an introducer to avoid contact of the implant with the skin [1]. A commonly used device is the 'Keller Funnel' (Allergan; AbbVie Inc, North Chicago, IL) [2]. The instructions provided by the manufacturer for the use of the Keller Funnel suggests "squeezing the proximal end of the funnel behind the implant to gently guide the implant into the pocket." [2] Our addition to this recommended technique involves a 'twist' in the Keller Funnel behind the implant, stabilising the implants' position within the funnel to allow greater control of the implant and preventing retropulsion.Level of Evidence V This journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each article.
