Аннотация
Electrochemical chiral recognition offers a portable, rapid, and label-free approach for enantioselective analysis. However, its performance is often limited because three-dimensional stereochemical interactions are probed at an effectively open, two-dimensional interface, where unrestricted analyte motion leads to orientational averaging. Confined microenvironments enhance chiral discrimination by restricting analyte motion, narrowing binding geometries, strengthening stereospecific interactions, and amplifying electrochemical differences between enantiomers. In this review, we highlight four key confined architectures: chirally imprinted mesoporous metals, intrinsically chiral electroactive films, framework nanochannels based on metal-organic and covalent organic frameworks, and single biological nanopores. These platforms employ distinct confinement mechanisms and electrochemical signal transduction pathways, providing complementary mechanistic insights into chiral recognition. We propose an architecture-first design strategy in which the chiral selector dictates molecular recognition, while the confined microenvironment controls molecular orientation and enhances signal transduction. Future progress will rely on reproducible fabrication, precise control of pore geometry and interfacial chemistry, robust performance in complex matrices, and multiparameter analytical frameworks that directly correlate confined molecular interactions with electrochemical responses.
